ABOUT THE AUTHOR
James C. Devine is the first of nine children, the father of four children and grand father of six as of 2008. He began his spiritual studies while attending Our Lady of the Lake seminary in Indiana in the early '60's after graduation from high school. The writings of St. Thomas Aquinas in particular the Summa first made him aware of his own guardian angel and the role that Angels have in our spiritual life. After leaving the seminary James Devine went on to become a Eucharist minister and was later commissioned a Prison Minster by the Bishop of Miami Florida.
In an effort to answer questions posed to him by his family and friends, and to satisfy his own curiosity, James began researching in depth the truths established in the Bible pertaining to angels. In an effort to understand bible based religions, Jim went on to research the established doctrines of major Christian faiths and their doctrine regarding angels. This included personal interviews with various pastors and obtaining any written material or reference books they may use in instructing their faithful. "Devine Angels" is the first of two books and a result of that research. "Devine Angels" was copyrighted in 1997 before the subject of Angels obtained its current popularity.
Dr. James Villotti, Devine's brother in law, in a family discussion was first in motivating the author to write this bible reference book.
Jackie Devine, the authors daughter, a graphic designer in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, helped produce this book. Jackie also created the striking cover art and many of the illustrations. The authors son, James J. Devine drew the picture of Michael the Arch Angel. And the Author James wrote the Angel poem.
James C. Devine currently resides in Inverness Florida.. "Devine Angels" has been formatted in html form which can be downloaded to your computer.
