INTRODUCTION TO ANGELS

Angels have a nature that is the nearest to God. Therefore, the Angel's composition is very complex, not easily cast into what we would like to imagine an Angel to be. Some will say that an Angel is composed of matter and form. Others may say Angels are pure energy or light which comprises pure intellect and will. The action of the intellect is the life of an Angel, together with memory and understanding.

Angels may assume human form, not for themselves but for appearing to us in this way they may converse with us and give us evidence of spiritual companionship in the life to come.

An Angel is in no one place but where it wills to be by application of its own power. Therefore, the Angel is not everywhere and is never in two places at once. The movement of an Angel is instantaneous in relation to time. That is, something happens before the action and something happens after the action. An Angel can be in one place in one instance and in another place in the next instant, without any time (human) intervening.

Angels know and understand their capabilities as created. They know and communicate with each other. They do not know God by their natural created powers. God is infinitely above the intellect of all Angels. What is infinitely beyond cannot be reached. We cannot understand Angels by our intellect.

Angels have knowledge and understanding of nature and all material creations. Whatever lower creations can do or comprehend, a higher creation can also do. Our intellect, which is inferior to the Angels, can know material things. An Angel with much more intellect will know even more. They also understand both the positive and negative harmony and partition of nature. Therefore, there is no misconception, error or deception that can exist of it self in the mind of any Angel.

Angels cannot know our inner thoughts. What belongs to God does not belong to Angels. While our actions are known, how we derive at the action, is not known to the Angel. We can open and direct our inner thoughts and will to an Angel. One Angel may make known its knowledge to another Angel by consent of the will.

Angels cannot see the future. We cannot know or see the future except in what God reveals to us. The Angels know the future in the same way, but even more so. That which has not been created, or yet happened in God's time cannot be known to an Angel.

Angels can know that which is distant according to place and as existing in nature, a future known by Angels and not men.

Angels and humans cannot learn what they already know. And yet the highest of Angels seeks to learn the divine mysteries of God's grace which are infinite. Therefore, Angels must continue to learn and progress. Not all Angels were given the same knowledge at their creation. Yet all Angels behold the divine wisdom of God while not fully comprehending it.

Angels went through a period of trial similar to that of humans. During that period they had a free choice. Since all Angels were not created equally, the free choice and judgment of intellect exhibited by the higher angels are more inclusive than that of the lower Angels. There exists in Angels a natural love of choice. Their natural love is the principle of their love of choice. It would then reason that the gifts of grace and perfection of glory were rewarded to the Angels according to the degree of their natural gifts.

Angels, now rewarded, have a greater liberty of will. Angels are unable to sin. Angels merited heaven and perfect love does not merit, but rather enjoys the reward. Angels are not perfect love. Only God is perfect love. Consequently, to merit indicates imperfect love and a moving towards a goal of perfection, infinite Love.

Angels also experience joy. (Luke 15:10) "There is joy before the Angels of God upon one sinner doing penance." This indicates that Angels were created according to divine predestination. They do not know the future actions of humans. They are still able to experience additional reward or joy.

Angels cannot change or overpower the will of another Angel or human. Only God can change the will of an Angel or human being. The will cannot be changed from within, it can only be changed from without, by persuasion. An Angel can persuade another Angel or human and incline the will towards something lovable. Angels can manifest good created by God. Both good and evil Angels by their created power can persuade the human imagination.

The commanding of the angelic spirit with the human imagination (not a mingling of reality, but by an effect we produce in the imagination) reveals to us what the Angel knows. It does not reveal the way the Angel knows. Our human senses may be affected from within and without. In some special way an Angel can work a change in our human senses, outside the natural laws known to us. The devil may be able to employ certain fundamental principles that exist in the elements of the nature to produce certain effects unknown to us. Our imagination may be in thought or dreaming, and these images may take the form of an innumerable number of things.

Angels guard over us and protect us from both bodily and spiritual harm. God guards us immediately by infusing into us grace and virtues. God's precepts reach us by way of the Angels. Each of us has a Guardian Angel appointed to him. This guardianship is assigned to the lowest order of Angels, the closest to the spiritual nature of humans. Our Guardian Angels protect us from the evil one, yet it is by our free choice that we avoid evil to a certain degree. If we fall into sin, it is not because of the negligence of the Angel, but because of our human weakness and sinfulness. When we sin, the Angels do not grieve for us. However, in our repentance there is reason for the Angel's joy, which is the fulfillment of God's will.

Angels sometimes attack us in punishment for our sins. These evil Angels may be unchained in power to assault us. They come with the intention of hatred and envy. God knows how to make good use of evil by using it to a good end, to be used for His justice. Our own weakness and the inclination we have toward the world and the flesh are joined by the devil's malice which takes advantage of all our weakness in assaulting us. Even this by God's goodness, gives us more opportunity to share in the glory of God. Since the devil does not know our inner thoughts and inclinations, only God knows our inward dispositions. The devil tries to tempt us to explore our inward disposition. He tries to find our weakness, so he may tempt us to a vice or obsession. We often fall into sin without the temptation of the devil but by our own human weakness. We need God's grace, given to us through the ministry of the good Angels. This is why Angels take part in all our good works.

Angels being closest to our nature are sent to minister to us. There is no doubt that God doesn't need Angels to reveal His will to us. He uses His Angels to guide us. Ordinarily the superior Angels are not sent, but yet sometimes, by divine dispensation, they are sent for special purposes. Superior beings illuminate inferior ones according to God's plan. God reveals new plans to superior Angels for our salvation from time to time. There is always something for the superior Angels to make known to the inferior ones.

Angels are only referred to as inferior or superior in relationship to God. We call the speech of God to the Angels an illumination. Since the will of God is the law or truth, every created mind has access and potential to know what God wills. Angels are always speaking and praising and adoring God. Angels that are good have power over the evil, and rule over them. Good and holy Angels are the ministers of divine justice and wisdom. Divine justice permits some evil to be done by bad Angels or humans, for the sake of the good that follows. Good Angels do not always restrain the bad from inflicting harm.

The most inferior Angel in the Choir has power over the most powerful demon. A devil may be superior by virtue of its created nature. The good Angels hold to divine justice, Divine justice is stronger than the natural power of the strongest evil Angel. In this way all the lower Angels can restrain the power of evil and work miracles.

Angels have power over man and nature. Whatever an inferior power can do, a superior power can also do with greater power and excellence. There is nothing to prevent some natural effect from taking place by angelic power. Because of this thinking, every visible thing in this world could have an angelic power placed over it.

Angels can work miracles. Some Angels work miracles for the will of God. Miracles take place when something happens outside the order of nature as known to us. We do not know and understand all the power of created nature however. When anything happens outside the order of created nature by a power unknown to us, we call it a miracle. It is only a miracle in regards to our understanding. Spiritual powers are able to effect whatever happens in the visible world, within the limits of our Creators Law or will.

Angels will continue their ministry over us after the day of final judgment. They were created according to God's will.

We will no longer be led to salvation by Angels, they will still illuminate to us through angelic ministry. Superior Angels continue illumination to the lower Angels.

God is infinite; His illumination is infinite. This illumination is infinite according to God's plan.

LK 1:18     Zechariah asked the ANGEL, "How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years."

LK 1:19     The ANGEL answered, "I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news."

LK 1:26     In the sixth month, God sent the ANGEL Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee...

LK1:28     The ANGEL went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."

LK 1:30     But the ANGEL said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God."

LK 1:34     "How will this be," Mary asked the ANGEL, "since I am a virgin?"

LK 1:35     The ANGEL answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God."

LK 1:38     "I am the Lord’s servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the ANGEL left her.

LK 2:9     An ANGEL of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord  shone around them, and they were terrified.

LK 2:10     But the ANGEL said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people."

LK 2:13     Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the ANGEL, praising God and saying...

LK 2:15     When the ANGELS had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."

LK 2:21     On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise him, he was named Jesus, the name the ANGEL had given him before he had been conceived.

LK 4:10     For it is written: "`He will command his ANGELS concerning you to guard you carefully..."

LK 9:26     If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy ANGELS.

LK 12:8     I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the ANGELS of God.

LK 12:9     But he who disowns me before men will be disowned before the ANGELS of God.

LK 15:10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the ANGELS of God over one sinner who repents.

LK 16:22     The time came when the beggar died and the ANGELS carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried.

LK 20:36 .     ..and they can no longer die; for they are like the ANGELS. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection.

LK 22:43     An ANGEL from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.

LK 24:4       While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them.

LK 24:23 ..    . but didn’t find his body. They came and told us that they had seen a vision of ANGELS, who said he was alive.

JN 1:51          He then added, "I tell you the truth, you shall see heaven mopen, and the ANGELS of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man."

JN 12:29 T      he crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an ANGEL had spoken to him.

JN 20:21         Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you."

ACTS 1:10     They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.

ACTS 5:19     But during the night an ANGEL of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out.

ACTS 6:15     All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an ANGEL.

ACTS 7:30     After forty years had passed, an ANGEL appeared to Moses in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai.

ACTS 7:35     This is the same Moses whom they had rejected with the words, "Who made you ruler and judge?" He was sent to be their ruler and deliverer by God himself, through the ANGEL who appeared to him in the bush.

ACTS 7:38     He was in the assembly in the desert, with the ANGEL who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers; and he received living words to pass on to us.

ACTS 7:53 ...you who have received the law that was put into effect through ANGELS but have not obeyed it.

ACTS 8:26     Now an ANGEL of the Lord said to Philip, "Go south to the road —the desert road — that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza."

ACTS 10:3     One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an ANGEL of God, who came to him and said, "Cornelius!"

ACTS 10:4     Cornelius stared at him in fear. "What is it, Lord?" he asked. The ANGEL answered, "Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God."

ACTS 10:7     When the ANGEL who spoke to him had gone, Cornelius called two of his servants and a devout soldier who was one of his attendants.

ACTS 10:22     The men replied, "We have come from Cornelius the centurion. He is a righteous and God-fearing man, who is respected by all the Jewish people. A holy ANGEL told him to have you come to his house so that he could hear what you have to say."

ACTS 11:13    He told us how he had seen an ANGEL appear in his house and said, "Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter."

ACTS 12:7     Suddenly an ANGEL of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up.

ACTS 12:8     Then the ANGEL said to him, "Put on your clothes and sandals." And Peter did so. "Wrap your cloak around you and follow me," the ANGEL told him.

ACTS 12:9     Peter followed him out of the prison, but he had no idea that what the ANGEL was doing was really happening; he thought he was seeing a vision.

ACTS 12:10     They passed the first and second guards and came to the iron gate leading to the city. It opened for them by itself, and they went through it. When they had walked the length of one street, suddenly the ANGEL left him.

ACTS 12:11    Then Peter came to himself and said, "Now I know without a doubt that the Lord sent his ANGEL and rescued me from Herod’s clutches and from everything the Jewish people were anticipating."

ACTS 12:15     "You’re out of your mind," they told her. When she kept insisting that it was so, they said, "It must be his ANGEL."

ACTS 12:23     Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an ANGEL of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.

ACTS 23:8      The Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, and that there are neither ANGELS nor spirits, but the Pharisees acknowledge them all.

ACTS 23:9      There was a great uproar, and some of the teachers of the law who were Pharisees stood up and argued vigorously. "We find nothing wrong with this man," they said. "What if a spirit or an ANGEL has spoken to him?"

ACTS 27:23    Last night an ANGEL of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me.

ROM 8:38       For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither ANGELS nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers...

1 COR 4:9     For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like men condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to ANGELS as well as to men.

1 COR 6:3     Do you not know that we will judge ANGELS? How much more the things of this life!

1 COR 10:10     And do not grumble, as some of them did — and were killed by the destroying ANGEL.

1 COR 11:10     For this reason, and because of the ANGELS, the woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head.

1 COR 13:1     If I speak in the tongues of men and of ANGELS, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

GALl 1:8        But even if we or an ANGEL from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!

GAL 3:19     What, then, was the purpose of the law? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was put into effect through ANGELS by a mediator.

GAL 4:14     Even though my illness was a trial to you, you did not treat me with contempt or scorn. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an ANGEL of God, as if I were Christ Jesus himself.

COL 1:16     For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

COL 2:18     Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of ANGELS disqualify you for the prize.

1 THES 4:16     For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the ARCHANGEL and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

2 THES 1:7     ...and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful ANGELS.

1 TM 3:16     Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by ANGELS, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

1 TM 5:21     I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus and the elect ANGELS, to keep these instructions without partiality, and to do nothing out of favoritism.

HEB 1:4     So he became as much superior to the ANGELS as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.

HEB 1:5     For to which of the ANGELS did God ever say, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father?"

HEB 1:6     And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, "Let all God’s ANGELS worship him."

HEB 1:7     In speaking of the ANGELS he says, "He makes his ANGELS winds, his servants flames of fire."

HEB 1:13    To which of the ANGELS did God ever say, "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a foot stool for your feet?"

HEB 1:14     Are not all ANGELS ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

HEB 2:2     For if the message spoken by ANGELS was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment...

HEB 2:5     It is not to ANGELS that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking.

HEB 2:7     You made him a little lower than the ANGELS; you crowned him with glory and honor...

HEB 2:9     But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the ANGELS, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

HEB 2:16     For surely it is not ANGELS he helps, but Abraham’s descendants.

HEB 9:5     Above the ark were the CHERUBIM of the Glory, overshadowing the atonement cover. But we cannot discuss these things in detail now.

HEB 12:22     But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of ANGELS in joyful assembly...

HEB 3:2     Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained ANGELS without knowing it.

1 PT 1:12     It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even ANGELS long to look into these things.

1 PT 3:22 ...who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand — with ANGELS, authorities and powers in submission to him.

2 PT 2:4     For if God did not spare ANGELS when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment...

2 PT 2:11 ...yet even ANGELS, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not bring slanderous accusations against such beings in the presence of the Lord.

JUDE 1:6     And the ANGELS who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home — these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.

RV 1:1      The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his ANGEL to his servant John...

RV 1:4      John, to the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven SPIRITS before his throne...

RV 1:20     The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lamp stands is this: The seven stars are the ANGELS of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

RV 2:1     To the ANGEL of the church in Ephesus write: "These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands..."

RV 2:8      To the ANGEL of the church in Smyrna write: "These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again."

RV 2:12     To the ANGEL of the church in Pergamum write: "These are the words of him who has the sharp, double-edged sword."

RV 2:18     To the ANGEL of the church in Thyatira write: "These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze."

RV 3:1       To the ANGEL of the church in Sardis write: "These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars."

RV 3:5      He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his ANGELS.

RV 3:7     To the ANGEL of the church in Philadelphia write: "These are the words of him who is holy and true..."

RV 3:14     To the ANGEL of the church in Laodicea write: "These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness..."

RV 4:5      From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. Before the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven SPIRITS of God.

RV 5:2     And I saw a mighty ANGEL proclaiming in a loud voice, "Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?"

RV 5:6     Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven SPIRITS of God sent out into all the earth.

RV 5:11     Then I looked and heard the voice of many ANGELS, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders.

RV 7:1     After this I saw four ANGELS standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree.

RV 7:2      Then I saw another ANGEL coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four ANGELS who had been given power to harm the land and the sea...

RV 7:11     All the ANGELS were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God...

RV 8:2      And I saw the seven ANGELS who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.

RV 8:3     Another ANGEL, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne.

RV 8:4     The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, went up before God from the ANGEL’s hand.

RV 8:5     Then the ANGEL took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.

RV 8:6     Then the seven ANGELS who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.

RV 8:7     The first ANGEL sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down upon the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.

RV 8:8      The second ANGEL sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood...

RV 8:10     The third ANGEL sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers, and on the springs of water...

RV 8:12     The fourth ANGEL sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them turned dark. A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night.

RV 8:13     As I watched, I heard an eagle that was flying in midair call out in a loud voice: "Woe! Woe! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other three ANGELS!"

RV 9:1     The fifth ANGEL sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss.

RV 9:11     They had as king over them the ANGEL of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon.

RV 9:13     The sixth ANGEL sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the horns of the golden altar that is before God.

RV 9:14     It said to the sixth ANGEL who had the trumpet, "Release the four ANGELS who are bound at the great river Euphrates."

RV 9:15     And the four ANGELS who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind.

RV 10:1     Then I saw another mighty ANGEL coming down from heaven. He was robed in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were like fiery pillars.

RV 10:5    Then the ANGEL I had seen standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven.

RV 10:7     ...but in the days when the seventh ANGEL is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.

RV 10:8     Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me once more: "Go, take the scroll that lies open in the hand of the ANGEL who is standing on the sea and on the land."

RV 10:9      So I went to the ANGEL and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, "Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey."

RV 10:10     I took the little scroll from the ANGEL’S hand and ate it.

RV 11:15     The seventh ANGEL sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever."

RV 14:6     Then I saw another ANGEL flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth —to every nation, tribe, language and people.

RV 14:8     A second ANGEL followed and said, "Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great, which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries."

RV 14:9     A third ANGEL followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand..."

RV 14:10 ..    he, too, will drink of the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy ANGELS and of the Lamb.

RV 14:15     Then another ANGEL came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud...

RV 14:17     Another ANGEL came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle.

RV 14:18     Still another ANGEL, who had charge of the fire, came from the altar and called in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle...

RV 14:19     The ANGEL swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God’s wrath.

RV 15:1     I saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign: seven ANGELS with the seven last plagues — last, because with them God’s wrath is completed.

RV 15:6     Out of the temple came the seven ANGELS with the seven plagues. They were dressed in clean, shining linen and wore golden sashes around their chests.

RV 15:7     Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven ANGELS seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever.

RV 15:8     And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven ANGELS were completed.

RV 16:1     Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven ANGELS, "Go, pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth."

RV 16:2     The first ANGEL went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly and painful sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped his image.

RV 16:3     The second ANGEL poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead man, and every living thing in the sea died.

RV 16:4     The third ANGEL poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.

RV 16:5     Then I heard the ANGEL in charge of the waters say: "You are just in these judgments, you who are and who were, the Holy One, because you have so judged..."

RV 16:8     The fourth ANGEL poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was given power to scorch people with fire.

RV 16:10     The fifth ANGEL poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was plunged into darkness.

RV 16:12     The sixth ANGEL poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.

RV 16:17     The seventh ANGEL poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, "It is done!"

RV 17:1     One of the seven ANGELS who had the seven bowls came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits on many waters."

RV 17:3     Then the ANGEL carried me away in the Spirit into a desert. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.

RV 17:7     Then the ANGEL said to me: "Why are you astonished? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and of the beast she rides, which has the seven heads and ten horns."

RV 17:15     Then the ANGEL said to me, "The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages."

RV 18:1       After this I saw another ANGEL coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor.

RV 18:21     Then a mighty ANGEL picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said...

RV 19:9       Then the ANGEL said to me, "Write: `Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!" And he added, "These are the true words of God."

RV 19:17     And I saw an ANGEL standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, "Come, gather together for the great supper of God..."

RV 20:1      And I saw an ANGEL coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain.

RV 21:9      One of the seven ANGELS who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb."

RV 21:12     It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve ANGELS at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel.

RV 21:15     The ANGEL who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls.

RV 21:17     He measured its wall and it was 144 cubits thick, by man’s measurement, which the ANGEL was using.

RV 22:1       Then the ANGEL showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

RV 22:6       The ANGEL said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his ANGEL to show his servants the things that must soon take place."

RV 22:8      "I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the ANGEL who had been showing them to me."

RV 22:16     "I, Jesus, have sent my ANGEL to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."

BAR 6:6       For my ANGEL is with you, and I myself will demand an account of your souls.

2MC 3:26     Moreover there appeared two other young men beautiful and strong, bright and glorious...

TB 5:5         Then Tobias going forth found a beautiful young man and not knowing that he was an ANGEL of God, he saluted him...

TB 5:15      And the ANGEL said to him: "I will conduct him thither, and bring him back to thee."

TB 5:17      And Raphael the ANGEL answered...

TB 5:20      And the ANGEL said to him: "I will lead thy son safe and bring him to thee again safe."

TB 5:27      For I believe that the good ANGEL of God doth accompany him...

TB 6:4        And the ANGEL said to him...

TB 6:7        Then Tobias asked the ANGEL...

TB 6:11      And the ANGEL answering, said...

TB 6:16       Then the ANGEL Raphael said to him...

TB 7:6       And when he was speaking many good things of him, the ANGEL said to Raguel...

TB 8:2       And Tobias, remembering the ANGEL’S word...

TB 8:3       Then the ANGEL Raphael took the devil and bound him in the desert of upper Egypt.

TB 9:1       Then Tobias called the ANGEL to him, whom he took to be a man, and said to him...

TB 9:6         Then RAPHAEL took four of Raguel’s servants and...

TB 10:11      The holy ANGEL of the Lord be with you in your journey, and bring you through safe...

TB 11:4        And as this their going pleased him, RAPHAEL said to Tobias...

TB 11:7        And RAPHAEL said to Tobias...

TB 12:14      And now the Lord hath sent me to heal thee, and to deliver Sara thy son’s wife from the devil.

TB 12:15      For I am the ANGEL RAPHAEL, one of the seven, who stand before the Lord.

TB 12:17     And the ANGEL said to them: "Peace be to you; fear not."

TB 12:21     And when HE had said these things, HE was taken from their sight, and they could see HIM no more.
